Release 4 is here! Hopefully things will feel more finished and stable by the time I hit double digits with these releases.
The game was a bit rushed due to the jam constraints and personal issues, like coming down with a disease. How thematically appropriate! But we'll get there regardless.
Changes include:
- Fixing several solutions including ones that prevented you from helping certain townsfolk.
- Typo fixes, including some that made it difficult to interact with key items.
- Improvements to make the parser more user-friendly with certain verbs and nouns.
- Better parser messages in general, fewer "default" or unhelpful messages.
- Better hinting in item and room descriptions, where appropriate.
- Improved dialogue with some townsfolk.
- Fixed death/end of game messages about score (there is not a numeric score in the game).
There's still more I would like to do to fix up minor issues and improve some of the parsing, especially related to moving around the map.
I also need to playtest further, myself. And of course, if you run into any issues with this release, please let me know in the comments!
